Missing In Space With Boeing's Starliner: Are They Really Stranded?

What Is Really Goin On Here?

It has now been more than 50 days since the astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been "stuck" in space. They were originally scheduled to be on their mission for only eight days, however, as of August 08, 2024, both Butch and Suni remain outer space.

Due to helium leaks and poor comms, the two were forced to spend a few more weeks aboard the International Space Station (ISS) officials stated.

A return date is in the works once the leaks have been repaired. What was estimated an eight day mission, turned to a 50+ day mission has caused many to believe that Williams and Wilmore were stuck in space with no return. Many are treating this extended mission as if they were drifting into space like in some Sci-Fi movie.

“The vehicle is in good shape. I want to make it very clear that Butch and Suni are not stranded in space,”

-Steve Stich, manager of Nasa’s commercial crew program, told a press conference last week.

Butch and Suni are expected to return some time in August and will remain in orbit to complete final tests for the Starliner's thrusters, which were scheduled the week of July 25th. Although there has been press releases from NASA, unrest still remains. There has been very little insight into this mission, making some believe that NASA and Boeing are hiding some information from the public.

As of August 08/04/2024 are still in space......
